IPv4 - IPv6 multicast reflector

Monday April 5th, 2004 by Jerome Durand
This reflector, implemented first by Luc Beurton from Université de Bretagne Sud (France), makes it possible to convert an IPv6 multicast flow to an IPv4 multicast flow and vice-versa. A site can then transmit a conference on the M6Bone and then use the gateway to transmit it also on the IPv4 multicast network. With this technology, the transmitting site does not need to send 2 different streams.
Another implementation was created by Konstantin Kabassanov and is available on his web (...)
