MLD Proxying can be used to provide IPv6 multicast support to mobile nodes. A Mobile IPv6 home agent can indeed be configured to work as a MLD Proxy for the mobile nodes it serves, allowing these nodes to receive and send multicast data via the Proxy.
While Mobile IPv6 for Linux (MIPL) allows unicast data sent to a mobile node’s home address to be redirected towards the current position of the mobile node, it does not yet supports multicast. Moreover, the linux kernel does not support IPv6 (...)
