This code was originally embedded in Kame stack developed by the Wide consortium. Through the M6Bone projects, some new features have been added and latest pim6sd code with the main set of features is available at http://clarinet.u-strasbg.fr/ hoerdt/pim6sd_linux/

OS configuration

AS specified in FAQ, you must specifiy a default route for multicast:
First of all, write the command line:
ipv6 if
and retrieve the interface number with the global address
Then, add the default route:
ipv6 rtu ff00::/8 “your interface number”
ex: ipv6 rtu ff00 ::/8 4
